"Love them or hate them, Cristobal Huet and Antti Niemi are the Blackhawks' goaltenders for the rest of the season.

General manager Stan Bowman didn't see a move before the trade deadline Wednesday that would improve the team this season and still maintain its course for the future.

So Huet and Niemi will be counted on despite their recent struggles and the Hawks' growing goals-against average.

Huet got the nod Wednesday night against the Edmonton Oilers in the Hawks' first game at the United Center since the Olympics. He was booed by the 22,204 in attendance after allowing two goals in the second period, but his teammates were able to bail him out for a 5-2 win."
