"Glen Grunwald isn't nearly as famous as his former Indiana Hoosiers teammate, Isiah Thomas, and he's certainly not as evasive as Scott Layden, who would stonewall the media with the best of them.

Instead, the Knicks' interim president/GM is more like his predecessor, Donnie Walsh, without the extensive resume. When you asked Walsh a question he gave you an answer. The same is true of Grunwald, who in his first interview session since replacing Walsh last June didn't mince words when asked about the Knicks' reported interest in free agent guard Jamal Crawford.

"We'd certainly love to get Jamal back here," Grunwald said during Monday's annual, albeit scaled-down, media day in Greenburgh. "But we'll see where that goes. That's a situation that's still developing.""
