NY Giants tailback D.J. Ware expected to get carries vs. Seahawks with Brandon Jacobs likely out

"He is 26 now, and sees the super-speedy rookie fan favorite creeping up behind him on the depth chart. He knows he is running out of time, that the Giants are giving him a rare opportunity.

So D.J. Ware is approaching Sunday's game against Seattle as an audition. With Brandon Jacobs expected to sit out with a mildly sprained medial collateral ligament, Ware, a little-used tailback, is expected to earn carries behind Ahmad Bradshaw.

"I take this like it's my last time carrying the ball," Ware said. "So go out there and take advantage of the opportunity.""
