"The only good news for the Giants' rushing attack this season has been that it probably couldn't get much worse. Then on Thursday they learned that wasn't true.

Without Ahmad Bradshaw, it could get significantly worse in the coming weeks.

Bradshaw, the Giants' only productive running back, suffered a fractured bone in his right foot last week, and his status for Sunday's game in New England and possibly beyond is uncertain at best.

A team source said on Thursday that Bradshaw will likely miss the game, and could miss "several weeks" in the hopes the fracture heals enough for a pain-free stretch run. But another source familiar with the situation later called the injury "minor" and said the 25-year-old has decided not to have surgery to fix it."
