The Giants will continue their search for linebacking help by bringing in former Cowboys linebacker Dan Connor for a free-agent visit.

Connor, 27, who was released by the Cowboys earlier this week, has since visited the Raiders and drawn interest from the Steelers.

A former third-round draft pick, Connor is entering his fifth NFL season after spending four with Carolina and one with Dallas.

Connor, who started eight games for the Cowboys last season, could compete for the starting middle linebacker job on the Giants. That job belonged to Chase Blackburn last season, but he is expected to leave via free agency. Coincidentally, the Cowboys were one of the teams that expressed early interest in him.
