The Hofstra Men’s Basketball team will continue a stretch that will see it play four out of five games on the road as the Pride visits Northeastern on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

It will be the second straight road game for Hofstra as the Pride dropped a 67-49 decision at Charleston on Saturday.

In an interesting twist, Hofstra will play back-to-back road games at the southern-most and northern-most schools in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA).

After completing, and splitting, the season series with Charleston, Hofstra (7-16, 3-5 CAA) will look to do the same against the Huskies as Northeastern captured a 70-57 victory over the Pride on January 25. Graduate guard Dion Nesmith led Hofstra with 18 points in that game, while freshman guard Jamall Robinson added 11 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Graduate forward Zeke Upshaw chipped in with 12 points and six rebounds.

Live video of Wednesday’s game can be found via the Northeastern website. The 7 p.m. game can be heard, with Anthony Notarile and Mark Weiner on the call, via the PRIDE ZONE on, the GoHofstra mobile app,, the WRHU mobile app and locally on WRHU (88.7 FM).

Robinson continued his solid development last week as the talented rookie from Maryland had double-doubles in back to back games with 15 points and 10 rebounds against Drexel and then followed that up with 10 points and 10 rebounds at Charleston on Saturday. The double-doubles marked the first two of Robinson’s career.

Robinson ranks third on the Pride this season in scoring with 9.1 points per outing, while being one of only two players on the roster to start all 23 games this season. Leading the way in the scoring column is Upshaw with 19 points per game, while Nesmith is second in scoring with 12.9 points and leads Hofstra with 82 assists.
