"Vince Carter returned to Dallas on Wednesday and is scheduled to see Mavericks' physician Dr. T.O. Souryal on Thursday.

Carter suffered a sprained left foot on the last play of Monday's 73-70 loss to the Lakers.

Other than being out for the rest of the road trip, there is no timetable for Carter's return, pending the outcome of further exams. The 6-6 guard was walking with the use of crutches after Monday's game."
