"No decision will be made today regarding Browns receiver Donte Stallworth's discipline by the NFL, league spokesman Greg Aiello said.
Stallworth, currently suspended indefinitely for killing a pedestrian while driving drunk, met with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell today in New York in hopes of being reinstated, a league source confirmed.
Aiello declined to confirm the meeting in an email response, but said no decision will come down immediately.
"We do not comment on the details of the review process, so we decline to comment on the report of today's meeting,'' he wrote. "When there is a decision, we will announce. It will not be today.''
The meeting was first reported by Miami TV station WPLG. The station also reported that Stallworth showed Goodell surveillance video from a Florida Power & Light camera, which reportedly shows the pedestrian, Mario Reyes, darting out in front of Stallworth's Bentley and crossing the roadway illegally.
Browns coach Eric Mangini declined to comment on whether or not he'd welcome Stallworth back this season.
"It's a league matter,'' Mangini said. "Once the league makes whatever decision they're going to make, we'll address it that way.''"
