"Roy Williams thought he fared pretty well in his Bears debut, but the veteran receiver stopped short of gloating about his four-catch performance.

He has been around receivers coach Darryl Drake — his former tutor at the University of Texas — long enough to understand there's no such thing as a perfect game. Drake once gave a receiver a failing grade after an eight-catch, 150-plus yard performance.

"And that was probably me in college,'' Williams said with laugh. "Sure Coach Drake is tough, especially being under a guy like (Mike) Martz. I think (Drake) is going overboard with it right now, but we'll let it slide.''"
