NJ Nets' Devin Harris, Yi Jianlian say they'll play Sunday

"Devin Harris didn't practice Saturday, but said he'll play Sunday despite a sprained left knee.Devin Harris didn't practice Saturday, and didn't talk to reporters afterward. But the Nets point guard sent word that he will play Sunday night when the Nets host the Memphis Grizzlies, despite a slightly sprained left knee suffered Friday night in the loss to Toronto.

Yi Jianlian told reporters that he, too, will play Sunday, despite a balky shoulder and a sore back that his coach says have contributed to his poor production the last few weeks.

GM/coach Kiki Vandeweghe said both Harris and Yi will be game time decisions, since there is no shootaround for the 6 p.m. game.

Vandeweghe maintains that Yi's recent struggles date back to the shoulder injury he suffered in a home game against Detroit Feb. 2.

"Ever since two or three weeks ago when he hurt his shoulder, his shooting has been not great, obviously,'' Vandeweghe said. "But what young players have to know is there's other things they can do. He's been rebounding… he has to do that. What compounds it is other guys who are struggling with their shot.''

Jarvis Hayes was 2-for-10 and Keyon Dooling was 3-for-9 in the 106-89 loss to Toronto Friday. But Yi was worse: 2-of-13, with both of his baskets coming on open dunks. It was so bad that it looked at times his teammates seemed reluctant to pass him the ball when he was open. He is 28-for-90 (31.1 percent) from the field since beginning with that Feb. 2 game."
