The 2017 NFL season was not, by any means ,a successful one for the New York Giants. Fortunately, they now have a clean-sheet to work with for next year.

Among the notable headlines surrounding the Giants was the turmoil with cornerback Eli Apple. As a result, Apple has emerged as a possible trade candidate for the Tennessee Titans this offseason, according to ESPN’s Cameron Wolfe:

“One name that would make sense for both sides is Giants cornerback Eli Apple. It appears the 2016 first-round pick has fallen out of favor in New York after a tumultuous 2017 season. If he’s available for the right price, Tennessee should call.”

There was plenty of promise surrounding the selection of Apple with the 10th overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft.
