Redskins owner Daniel Snyder was among many high-rolling sports figures to contribute to President Donald Trump's inaugural festivities, including six other NFL owners who donated $1 million, The Washington Post reported, citing a Federal Election Commission filing it obtained.

The Republican president raised a record $107 million overall.

The Kraft Group (Patriots) and Jerry Jones’s Glenstone Limited Partnership (Cowboys) also made $1 million donations on the same day as Snyder. Rams owner Stanley Kroenke, Jaguars owner Shad Khan, Jets owner Woody Johnson and Texans owner Bob McNair all made $1 million donations on different dates, according to the FEC filing.

Snyder's donation could come with an incentive. The Redskins are looking for their next home, and Washington Mayor Muriel E. Bowser recently asked Trump for approval to make major upgrades at the RFK Stadium site.

Trump, unlike the Obama administration, is in favor of allowing Washington to keep the maligned Redskins nickname. He even ran an ad appealing to fans who oppose a name change.
