"Running back Thomas Jones declared himself "good to go" for tomorrow's AFC divisional playoff game against the Chargers. Jones, who wore a brace on his right knee and only rushed 15 times in last week's wild-card win over the Bengals, said he felt 100%.
"I was ready to play last week. I had to wear a brace last week just for comfort," he said. "But other than that, I'm good to go."
Jones, who set career highs in rushing yards (1,402) and carries (331) this season, said he bruised his knee on the hard turf at the Meadowlands in the regular-season finale.
"There have been all these questions about surgery and I don't know where that come from," Jones said. "I banged my knee on the turf in the Meadowlands. It was so cold. So it was just a bruise."
ON THE RUN: LB David Harris said his injured right ankle "feels good enough" for him to play.
"Everybody is banged up this point of the year," he said. "It's a long season so everybody is playing with an injury.""
