"Giants safety Antrel Rolle refers to his mother as the "angel on my shoulder." A few days ago, the angel figuratively placed her hands on her son's mouth, advising him to show wisdom when opening it.
"She just told me just to be careful, that you don't want to be labeled as a cancer," Rolle said Tuesday at Super Bowl XLVI Media Day. "She says, 'It's not who you are, but it's who you are portrayed ... to be.'"
Oddly, many of the Giants think they made it to this Super Bowl because Rolle chose to run his mouth. After a discouraging loss to the Redskins in December, Rolle implied that teammates needed to play through injuries, and that everyone needed to work hard in practice every day."
