"As the host city of Super Bowl XLVII, New Orleans could also play host to the Pro Bowl in 2013. The NFL's two-year contract with Hawaii ended this year, and the league is considering a handful of sites for next year's all-star game, including New Orleans.

"We are exploring all options," league spokesman Brian McCarthy said.

The NFL experimented with playing the Pro Bowl in the same city as the Super Bowl two years ago in South Florida, when they also decided to play the game on the Sunday before the Super Bowl for the first time."
