"Avery Johnson promises no gray area when he makes his decision regarding Terrence Williams on Black Friday.
The Nets coach said last night he intends to announce tomorrow just what course of action the organization will take with Williams, who has been benched for two games, at least, for repeatedly violating team rules.
"We have a couple of options available to us, and we hope to have a decision by Friday," said Johnson, who stressed he has been in discussions with general manager Billy King -- a tactic he intended to continue last night on the trip home -- about what to do with Williams.
"We'll come up with pretty much a solid course of action based on what we want to do," Johnson said before the Nets' 89-83 loss to the Celtics last night. "Then, based on what I [said Tuesday] I will have an answer Friday. A definitive answer. No sugar-coating it, no gray area."
Williams' agent, Aaron Goodwin, said last night that he is confident his client and the Nets will resolve the problem and move forward.
"He violated a team rule," Goodwin said. "The Nets are handling this as an internal matter. I think they'll discuss, reach a conclusion and then move past it."
Johnson said one option that has not been discussed is suspending the second-year swingman, who was told by the team to stay away from games Tuesday and last night."
