Even with the union and league poised for a Wednesday resumption of lockout negotiations, the league has confirmed that the schedule issued in July will have to be reworked to accommodate a potential delayed resumption in play.
"With the cancellation of the first two weeks of the season, the NBA schedule would have to be reworked," the league said in a statement published in theOrange County Register.
