"Earlier this season, when he was a member of the Colorado Avalanche, Brandon Yip booked an All-Star break trip to Cabo with some teammates.

Yip figured the warm sun and picturesque Mexican beaches would regenerate him.

But just six days before the break, the Predators claimed Yip off waivers. Instead of taking a vacation, he needed to find a place to live in Nashville, go back to Denver to pack his stuff and then move it to Music City.

Most people would complain about giving up a trip to the Baja Peninsula to deal with a job "transfer," but in this case, it was a sacrifice Yip gladly made. With Colorado, Yip had fallen out of favor. With Nashville, at least through three games, he has found a home.
