New York Mets captain David Wright's lower-back pain has turned out to be a bigger deal than originally suspected.

Wright continued to get therapy on the back Tuesday, but has not yet resumed baseball activity. He halted his return from a right hamstring strain nearly a week ago and was examined on Thursday at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan.

Team doctors determined Wright does not have a repeat of the stress fracture that cost him two months on the disabled list in 2011, team officials have indicated.
