Metta World Peace sat out of Saturday's game against Memphis with a left knee issue that may keep him out for an extended period.

The veteran forward said before Saturday's game he's unsure if he can play Monday against Orlando.

"I just have to take some time. We’ll see how long," he said.

Any issue surrounding World Peace's left knee is a bit of a concern for the Knicks.

He underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus in the same knee in late March while with the Los Angeles Lakers. He was originally expected to miss at least six weeks but returned to the court just 12 days later.

More recently, World Peace missed two games due to an issue with his left knee and revealed he had fluid drained from his left knee twice in a two-week period.

On Saturday, World Peace said he doesn't need a knee drain. But he's waiting to hear from Knicks team doctors before determining what to do next. If all goes well, he could be in uniform Monday against Orlando.
