You know, like playing a professional basketball game?

You were fairly lacking at it Saturday night. So were most of those other guys in red you brought along to our town. In fact, you were so bad at times that it halfway looked as if you had found the standard big-city diversions that do really exist here.

So you and the Hawks got everything (if you'll pardon the idiom) y'all deserved, the 107-89 whuppin' the Bucks laid on you in Game 3 of the first-round NBA playoffs at a legitimately sold-out Bradley Center that was far move lively and atmospheric than either of the first two at Philips Arena.

So what if Smith almost had a triple-double in Game 2? How silly do you have to be to open your mouth last week and let stuff like this pour forth after Smith and the Hawks had completely dominated in Atlanta?

"Everybody knows there ain't nothing to do in Milwaukee, man," Smith told an Atlanta reporter. "Everybody knows that, even the people who live in Milwaukee."

Oh, yeah? Ask Ray Allen if you happen to get that far in the playoffs. Ask Ryan Braun if you happen to use some of your free time at a baseball park that is substantially better than the one in Atlanta.

You could even ask me. I've lived in both places. Like any large American city, Milwaukee and Atlanta have their virtues and problems. But to reduce yourself to repeating a stale cliché that hasn't applied since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar left town, well, let's just say that Smith and the Hawks were way too cocky coming in here and needed to be taken down a peg or two."
