Pat Shurmur, St. Louis' offensive coordinator and a former Eagles quarterbacks coach, has emerged as the leading candidate and could be close to a deal, according to various reports.

As of Wednesday, the Eagles had yet to receive paperwork from teams seeking permission to interview their assistant coaches.
