"Former Mariners outfielder Milton Bradley allegedly threatened to kill his wife, Monique, before his latest arrest.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ.com, Milton Bradley picked up a picture of a gun during the Sept. 27 argument at their Los Angeles home and said, "This is the gun that I'm going to kill you with."
He also allegedly threatened Monique Bradley with a baseball bat during the exchange.
Bradley was arrested on suspicion of felony battery by Los Angeles police. It was his second arrest of the year. He is set to appear in court Oct. 18.
Monique Bradley called 911 about 2 p.m. to report that her husband was chasing her and swinging a bat, police said.
Milton Bradley fled the scene in a car, but was detained nearby by police.
In the documents, Monique Bradley alleges her husband called her "fat, ugly and lazy," and that he has been "emotionally and physically abusive" throughout their marriage.
"I am very fearful that he will … try to harm or even kill me," she said.
Monique Bradley has filed a request for a restraining order. A hearing is set for Oct. 25.
In the earlier case, Milton Bradley was arrested in January for allegedly threatening his wife. He did not face charges, and his wife reportedly filed for divorce in March."
