"After wearing the "C" on his sweater for the first time, Milan Hej- duk wore frustration otherwise following the Avalanche's 6-3 loss to Pittsburgh on Tuesday night.

"Not the way I wanted my first game as captain to go," said Hejduk, who had an assist in the loss. "I thought we were playing great, but then they got some breaks and kind of took it to us."

Hejduk wore the "C," while Paul Stastny? and Jay McClement wore the "A" for alternate captains."
