"The Tigers got the better of the Diamondbacks in two key situations with the bases loaded Sunday at Comerica Park.

The Tigers scored seven runs in the eighth inning for an 8-3 win over Arizona and their first interleague series victory this season.

Tigers starter Brad Penny allowed two runs in the seventh before he was replaced by Al Alburquerque, who walked the first batter he faced to load the bases. Alburquerque got Stephen Drew to strike out on a foul tip to end the inning.

With two outs and the bases loaded in the eighth, Miguel Cabrera hit a two-run single to put the Tigers ahead, 3-2. They added five more runs in the inning.

Alburquerque notched his fifth win of the season. He allowed two hits, one walk and no earned runs in 1 1/3 innings with two strikeouts."
