Miguel Cabrera is dealing with another lower body injury Tigers manager Jim Leyland confirmed to the Associated Press following Tuesday night's game. The team's third baseman was in pain after swinging at a pitch in his ninth inning at-bat.

Leyland was unsure if Cabrera's groin or stomach was the problem. The reigning AL MVP has been playing through a number of injuries including a lower abdomen strain and a sore hip. He also fouled some pitches off his leg last week.

Cabrera 30 is hitting .359/.450/.684 (202 OPS+) with 40 home runs and 120 RBI in 117 games this year. He leads baseball in batting average and RBI and is currently five homers behind the Orioles' Chris Davis. If Miggy manages to pass Davis he'd be in line for his second consecutive Triple Crown.
