t’s cold, rainy and the Dolphins were woken up in the middle of the night by a fire alarm at the team hotel in downtown Buffalo.
Just another day at work for the surging Dolphins?

Miami (8-6) can clinch a playoff berth today although the scenario is somewhat unlikely (but not impossible). The Dolphins will have to defeat the Bills, New England will have to win at Baltimore and Minnesota will have to win at Cincinnati.

Whether or not the Dolphins are fully rested though for this revenge game against the Bills is unclear. At about 3:30 a.m. this morning the fire alarm went off in the team hotel. It shut off pretty quickly, but it was loud enough to wake up — and freak out — the entire hotel (myself included) and send a blaring fire truck here. Some people evacuated their rooms.

Was it Bills fans trying to disrupt the Dolphins? Very possible. We’ll see if it worked in a few hours.

Even without the sleep disruption, the Bills were a team who clearly can give Miami trouble. Buffalo is 5-9 but defeated the Dolphins 23-21 in Week 7.
