Michigan coach Brady Hoke dismissed receiver Csont’e York from the program tonight.

York, a sophomore receiver, had been suspended indefinitely since the start of training camp for a July 18 incident outside Scorekeepers bar in Ann Arbor that led to three misdemeanor assault charges.

He is alleged to have thrown a punch at one man and pushed another, according to an Ann Arbor police report that includes video surveillance and eyewitness accounts.

“Csont’e York has been dismissed from the Michigan football program,” Hoke said in a released statement. “Representing the University of Michigan is a privilege and, while second chances are certainly deserved, sometimes it’s better for everyone if that happens somewhere else.
