The No. 1 ranked basketball player in the 2019 high school class is reportedly taking a good look at Michigan.

R.J. Barrett, a 6-foot-6 small forward from Montverde (Fla.) Academy, is planning an official visit to four Division I schools, including Ann Arbor, reports Jerry Meyer of 24/7 Sports.

Duke, Kentucky and Oregon are the three others, with Michigan among "the front runners to land Barrett," writes Meyer.

Ranked No. 1 nationally on 24/7's composite, Barrett weighs 180 pounds and is a natural lefty. He led his native Canada to gold at the FIBA Under-19 Basketball World Cup in Egypt earlier this month, averaging 21.6 points, 8.3 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game.
