Michael Young, batting .481 in six games, is AL player of the week

"Michael Young, the Texas Rangers' all-purpose performer, was named the American League player of the week for the period that ended on Sunday.

Young hit .481 with four homers, nine RBIs and a 1.037 slugging percentage in 27 at-bats. He had the second-highest average in the majors in that span. Boston's Adrian Gonzalez hit .500 in 26 at-bats."
