"Charlotte Bobcats majority owner Michael Jordan had something extra special to celebrate this Christmas: he and his longtime girlfriend are now engaged.

A spokeswoman for the basketball legend on Thursday confirmed his engagement to Yvette Prieto, a Cuban-American model. She said she could not answer other questions about the couple. No wedding date was announced.

Jordan, 48, and Prieto, 33, have reportedly been dating since 2008."
