"Dominican authorities arrested Miami Marlins reliever Juan Carlos Oviedo (formerly Leo Nunez) for using a false identity, only to release him not long after.

Nunez on Thursday went to a meeting at the U.S. Consulate when he was detained and later cuffed. A source close to Oviedo said this episode was a big misunderstanding. The Dominican's Junta Central Electoralin late September said it did not plan to prosecute Oviedo because he agreed to cooperate with its broader investigation. The authorities who arrested Oviedo did not have an updated warrant."
