For the second time this week, Marlins ace Josh Johnson took the mound against the Cardinals. And for the second time this week, Marlins fans breathed a sigh of relief.

Although Johnson struggled with control of his fastball, he threw several solid sliders and held the Cardinals to one hit through 2?1/3 innings.

Most importantly, Johnson is healthy and progressing nicely some 10 months after right-shoulder inflammation sidelined him for the majority of the 2011 season.

"He's pitching pain free, and he's letting the ball go," manager Ozzie Guillen said. "He looked pretty good."
