The blending of skill sets by Norris Cole and Mario Chalmers has created an offensive surge from the point guard position the Heat has not enjoyed in years.

Chalmers and Cole combined for 32 points and 14 assists Sunday in the Heat's 39-point victory against Charlotte.

On Monday, the duo cooled off, deferring to Dwyane Wade and LeBron James, but they still combined for 16 points and four assists.

"[Chalmers] was really able to spread the floor for us and knock down some threes," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said of Sunday's game. "Norris was able to get a lot of his effectiveness in the open court and really push us and get that second group running."
