"Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall was handcuffed and briefly detained at Port Everglades Monday after a dispute over an unpaid cab fair.

According a Broward Sheriff's Office report, Marshall was placed in the back of a patrol car at about 7 a.m. Monday while deputies sorted out the stories of two cab drivers who had encountered Marshall that morning.

The cab drivers accused Marshall of ditching a $142 cab fare at Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport and getting into another cab.

The driver said he picked up Marshall at the Fontainebleau Hotel on Miami Beach and drove him to the airport, where Marshall said he needed to use the restroom. The driver said Marshall went into the terminal then exited another door and got into the other cab."
