Omar Quintanilla, inked to a minor league deal with an invitation to big-league spring training, is a 30-year-old middle infielder who has played for Colorado and Texas. A career .213 hitter in parts of six major-league seasons, Quintanilla was 1-for-23 last year with the Rangers.
While playing for Colorado's Triple-A team in 2010, he drew a 50-game suspension after testing positive for a banned substance, the stimulant Methylhexaneamine."
