"The Mets have retained CRG Partners, a firm that worked with the Texas Rangers during the bankruptcy and sale of that franchise -- but people close to Fred Wilpon, Jeff Wilpon and Saul Katz maintain that the Mets owners are steadfast as ever in their belief that current financial difficulties will not force them to sell the team.

The Mets released a statement Thursday night confirming their association with CRG, which was first reported by the website Amazin Avenue. "Mets Limited Partnership engaged CRG Partners to provide services in connection with financial reporting and budgeting processes," the statement said."
