In ESPN Mel Kiper's first mock draft, he has the Giants selecting UCLA QB Josh Rosen with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Rosen has been connected to the Giants in other mock drafts, including Kiper's partner Todd McShay. Like his co-worker, he thinks the Giants need to look toward the future, and Rosen is the best option for New York with their high pick.

"Rosen is the top pure passer in this class," Kiper writes. "He looked better than (Sam) Darnold when UCLA and USC played late in the season. Rosen, however, has dealt with injuries the past two seasons, and there have already been rumblings that he doesn't want to end up in Cleveland. There are some red flags.
