"Broncos starting tailback Willis McGahee will be out one to four games because of a broken fourth metacarpal bone in his right hand. McGahee is scheduled to have surgery this morning. He is the Broncos' leading rusher with 460 yards.
"It's unfortunate," said Knowshon Moreno?, who is expected to start in McGahee's place Sunday against Detroit. "Hopefully we get him back soon, so we can have a full group again."
Moreno was the Broncos' starting tailback the previous two seasons, as well as in the season opener this year. He missed the next two games with a hamstring injury, and by the time he returned, McGahee had earned the No. 1 role."
