Andrew McCutchen doubled for his only hit in three at-bats in the Pirates' win over the Mets to keep his batting average at .336 for the season.

McCutchen leads the National League in batting average, with Giants catcher Buster Posey trailing by a slim margin.

Posey, who played first base Tuesday, also doubled, but he did so in one less at-bat than McCutchen. Posey is batting .333 on the season and is a candidate for the N.L. MVP Award along with Andrew McCutchen and Ryan Braun.
