"Brian McCann has surpassed Giants catcher Buster Posey in the NL All-Star vote, in the second tally released by Major League Baseball on Monday afternoon.

McCann leads Posey by a narrow margin of about 57,000 votes. McCann received 1,123,943 votes to Posey's 1,065,983. He had trailed Posey, the reigning NL rookie of the year and Leesburg, Ga. native, in the first tally by about 150,000 votes. Much of that voting took place before Posey was injured in the collision at the plate with Marlins outfielder Scott Cousins on May 25 and lost for the season with a broken leg."
