"If any Braves fans saw Brian McCann doing the on-again, off-again thing with his new glasses during Saturday's game and were concerned, he said there was no reason to be.

The All-Star catcher wore the glasses during batting practice and for his first plate appearance Saturday, then played the rest of the game without them.

He said that was the plan, since he has problems seeing clearly out of his right eye at night, but not in day games. (He has hit .380 in 10 day games, .180 in 15 night games.)

McCann wanted to wear the new glasses on a limited basis in day games Saturday and Sunday, and also just walking around during the weekend, to refamiliarize himself before wearing them full-time for night games."
