Maurice Jones-Drew held out of practice, David Garrard limited

"The Jaguars practiced Thursday for their biggest regular-season game in a decade without two key offensive players going full-time.

Running back Maurice Jones-Drew was held out of practice with a knee injury as a precautionary move for the second consecutive day, and quarterback David Garrard was limited with a hamstring injury. He wasn't on the injury report Wednesday.

But both are expected to play against Indianapolis on Sunday.

Jones-Drew hasn't missed back-to-back practices since the regular season started, but was limited Thursday and Friday before the New York Giants game with an abdominal strain and was listed as questionable. He showed no effects during the game as he rushed for 113 yards on 21 carries.

Before Jones-Drew started his string of six 100-yard games in a row, he had two 100-yard games in 14 games, dating to last season. Jones-Drew has been slowed by a series of nagging injuries, but he never missed a start.

Rashad Jennings, Jones-Drew's backup, had the first 100-yard game of his NFL career last Sunday when he got 109 yards on five carries. He had a 74-yard touchdown run.

Trent Edwards, Garrard's backup, has been playing the part of Colts quarterback Peyton Manning in practice. Edwards said he does some hand gesturing the way Manning usually does to set the offense before a play."
