"In a era when NHL teams monitor any head injury, the Devils undoubtedly will keep a close watch on 21-year-old winger Mattias Tedenby after he was struck in the right ear by a puck.
The mishap occurred during practice today. Tedenby suffered a cut when he was hit with a dump-in pass. He hurried off the ice and was in obvious pain.
"He went to the hospital. They did all the X-rays and everything," general manager Lou Lamoriello said. "I expect him to be OK tomorrow.""
