"He didn't look very comfortable and he didn't take any reps with the offense, but quarterback Matthew Stafford was in a helmet and shoulder pads Wednesday doing all he could to get his sprained right ankle ready for Sunday.
"If I am healthy enough to play, I will try to be out there," Stafford said. "It's yet to be seen if I can get to that point. But if I can, I want to play."
He said the ankle "felt OK, obviously sore," but that it was better Wednesday than it was Monday.
"Hopefully it will continue making progress," he said."
