"The past 2½ months were quite a whirlwind for Matt Hasselbeck.
After 10 seasons in Seattle, the veteran quarterback signed with the Titans, found a house for his family in two days, and then leaned on his wife to pick a school for their kids. He focused on football.
Now he's finally getting a break. Players are off the rest of the week.
"You heal up, and be thankful for the bye," Hasselbeck said Tuesday. "Enjoy the DirecTV Sunday Ticket — that's like the greatest invention in the world in my mind. And I am looking forward to watching other quarterbacks get hit on Sunday."
Hasselbeck doesn't have grand plans like some of his teammates. In fact, he was doing his best to keep the plans a secret.
"It's my daughter's birthday, and we're going to visit my grandmother," he said with a smile. "Don't tell the guys that, though. I'll lose major credibility in the locker room as an old, boring guy.""
