"The route to Nashville was difficult for Matt Hasselbeck, in more ways than one.

From an emotional standpoint, the veteran quarterback had spent the past 11 years of his life with the Seattle Seahawks before they informed him this week they planned to go in a different direction.

Then came his travel schedule from Seattle. It was certainly no piece of cake either.

But he finally arrived at Nashville International Airport on Friday afternoon and reported to Titans training camp at Baptist Sports Park.

"I am really here for one thing, and that is to win football games. That is my main focus, and that is what I'm about," said Hasselbeck , who agreed to a three-year contract on Wednesday. "It is going to be different, I know that. I have to get used to the changes.

"But I am here to play football and I am here to win. Everybody tells me how wonderful Nashville is, and I am sure it is. But my first goal is to win football games, and I have to buckle down and learn a new offense and get to know my new teammates, learn my new division. There's a lot to do. But I'm excited.""
