"Matt Hasselbeck is making progress learning the Titans offense, but is also encountering predictable issues after 10 years of quarterbacking the Seahawks, offensive coordinator Chris Palmer said Wednesday.

It didn't help that Hasselbeck had to wait until Aug. 4 before he could practice because he was an unrestricted free agent.

"He's struggling," Palmer said. "The other guys got a little bit the first day, a little more the second day, a little more the third day. These guys come in on Aug. 4 and we're in our eighth practice.

"That's a lot of volume to pick up in a short period of time. But he's doing a good job as far as what he's picking up each day is becoming clearer and clearer to him.""
