Matt Harvey unleashed a new assortment of junk for a recent ESPN The Magazine photo shoot.

“It was all hanging out,” Harvey told The Post yesterday. “It won’t be hanging out in the pictures, but I was definitely hanging out during the shoot.”

The Mets ace will appear nude in the publication’s annual Body Issue, which this year also features Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton, Washington Wizards star John Wall, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and 77-year-old golfer Gary Player, who becomes the oldest athlete to don his birthday suit for the magazine.

Jose Reyes previously appeared in the buff in the Body Issue.

“It was fun,” Harvey said. “It was a good experience. They asked, and I take a lot of pride in working out and eating healthy, so it was something I wanted to do.”

Harvey said he expects to catch plenty of heat from his teammates about the pictures.

“I was warned about that one for a while,” Harvey said.

* The Mets traded Collin Cowgill to the Angels for outfielder Kyle Johnson, who was assigned to Class A Savannah. The 23-year-old Johnson was batting .308 with two homers and 30 RBIs with 30 stolen bases in 68 games for Class A Burlington of the Midwest League.

A club source said the Mets tried to acquire Triple-A pitcher Matt Shoemaker instead of Johnson but were rebuffed by the Angels. Cowgill was the Opening Day center fielder for the Mets, but hit just .180 with two homers in 23 RBIs.
