"Well, it's something.
Nuggets forward Kenyon Martin has begun riding a stationary bike while his left knee recovers from his first — and potentially only — dose of platelet-rich plasma therapy, which should ultimately reduce the patella tendinitis that sidelined him.
"It was a little bit sore after, but not too much," Martin said of his bike ride, which lasted 20 minutes. "It's progression from where it was. My pain level is not at the same place from where it was, so that's a good thing."
Martin decided to come with the team on this five-game trip and said he will "see where my pain level is" early next week, in a meeting with doctors at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Vail. If the pain persists, Martin will have to consider another PRP therapy session, but it's possible one will be enough. His goal is to return near the beginning of the playoffs in mid-April."
